Creating CutContour with Two Overlapping Colors

Anyone have any tricks on creating a CutContour line with two overlapping colors that need bleeds?

Exactly where do you want your CutContour to run?

Below is where the Cut line is. However I need to be able to add .125" bleed for print/cutting.

Duplicate the layer.

Lock the original layer.

If things are still not outlined or expanded, do that.

Select the elements and in the Pathfinder panel Unite them.

Apply Effect > Path > Offset path for the bleed.

Expand appearance.
