Creating shapes and text boxes, all drawing on an angle.

Everytime I create a text box or a rectangle it draws on at an angle. The perspective grid is not on, I tried to shut down illustrator to see if it would reset the settings but it's still doing it. My cat likes to walk across my keyboard and I think he may have changed a setting.
