Creating Text in Gugarati in Illustrator CC6

Hello-

I have to write:

Om :  Santi • Santi • Santi

in Gugarati in an Illustrator file. I have no idea how to do this. Is there anyone who can guide me through this process? Do I need to purchase Adobe Gugarati or is there an existing font included in Type/Font Kit that will work? Running Illustrator CC6.

Thank you in advance,

-Alice

    Hi there,

You need to have the correct font installed in your machine. If you don't have that, you need to install it and then restart Illustrator and check if that font is available for use. Check this link for details: InDesign CS6 | Indic support and preferences « Caveat Lector

Check this link for Adobe Gujrati font on Typekit: Adobe Gujarati | Typekit

    Regards,

    Om

Yes- Thank you. I have followed these instructions before writing the question and I cannot get that to work. It does not help me. Also Typekit is only for web use- this is for print use.

    ???? Is there another way???

Thanks for the details. In case of print, you need to get the font downloaded and licensed in your system. If Typekit font is used, the other user (printer) should also have the Typekit subscription to get this font.
