Creative Cloud Desktop App doesn't show the latest update of Illustrator

According to this Illustrator support page LINKED HERE , the latest version of Adobe Illustrator is 23.1 from September 2019. However, in my Creative Cloud App it shows my current version is 23.0.4 with no indication that there is an update available.

I meet all of the system requirements shown ON THIS PAGE

Two questions:

1. Is 23.1 truly the latest version?

2. Why do I not see the update in my Creative Cloud App?

Thanks for reaching out. Yes 23.1 is the latest version of Illustrator. If you are unable to see the latest version update even after meeting the system requirement, please refer to the below help article:

The help article you linked to indicates 6 things to check/try:

 

1. Check the minimum system requirements.

My system meets the minimum system requirements.

 

2. Manually check for updates.

This item shows two different desktop app screen captures. Neither screen capture matches my Creative Cloud desktop app interface. (see screen capture of my interface below.) I am running version 5.0.0.354 of the desktop app. There is no option to check for updates where your help article indicates and the desktop app is not prompting me to update itself.

 

3. Restart the creative cloud app.

I have restarted the app twice but still could see the latest Illustrator version.

 

4. Sign out and sign back in again.

I have logged out/back in but still could see the latest Illustrator version.

 

5. Remove the OPM.db file and then log in again.

I have removed this file and re-logged in but still could see the latest Illustrator version.

 

6. Remove the affected creative cloud app and reinstall it.

This worked! After re-installing Illustrator the desktop app now reports I am running version 23.1.1.

 

It looks like there are a couple pieces of support info that need to be updated on your side:

The screen captures of the desktop app interface on your help article are out of date.

AND the most current version of Illustrator is not 23.1 it is 23.1.1.
