CS2 Illustrator no longer able to be activated

Hello, When I tried to open my very old copy of CS2 AI yesterday for the first time in a really long time, I ran into the 'activation end of life' problem. I've tried to follow the suggestions at

https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/adobe-illustrator-cs2-activation/m-p/8287255?page=1#M25776

as suggested by John T Smith at

http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.html

as well as Larry Schnieder at

Download Adobe Acrobat 7 and Adobe Creative Suite 2 products

but, like the correspondents on that post, I can't even see AI let alone find a download page and serial number. I note that that post is now 4 years old, is there anythnig I can do? I only use this program to check files before sending them to printers.

Thanks

Chris,

Long ago, when the CS2 activations servers were about to be retired, it was possible to download non activation versions of the suite/applications, based on the valid serial number(s); those are long gone.

With reservation concerning unwanted and possibly devastating effects on the computer in question, which someone (quite unlike me) with an adequate knowledge can assess:

I wonder whether you can turn back the date/time to before the end, then reset afterwards after each use, or simply keep that computer in the sufficiently distant past and switch to another for other uses; some have an old computer (or more) just for old applications.

Someone?

The CS2 download is no longer active.

In case you bought it as a digital download from Adobe (don't know if that was possible back then), you could try if there's a link to download in your Adobe account.

My CS2 was actually an upgrade from 10, that's how long ago I bought it! So, sadly, I have only CD's, books and serial numbers. In my searching yesterday I did get into something that asked me for my Adobe account....didn't know I had one, if I did register it was so long ago that I've got no idea of username, password or even what email I would have used.

Yes, I know. It must have been 15 years ago.

You can try Customer Care, but probably not even they can give it to you. CS2 has been terminated.
