CS5.1 16 digit serial number

Does any one know if or how I can download a copy of AI? I purchased CS5 way back when. I have since then moved (read lost physical documentation) and upgraded my machines a few times over. One of my old laptops still has a copy of CS5.1 Version 6.2 and has the serial number recorded. This number is 8 digits short of Adobe's stipulation: "Your serial number must contain 24 digits. Dashes are optional."

Anyone know what is up with this?

Please help.

In case you have registered it, you could try and login to that account to get that serial number or contact support.

Oh, one more thing: if you licensed a suite (can't tell from your post), don't try to download single products. The suite license works only with the suite installer.

For background info: it's common for software to show a short version of the serial number or info needed to install. This is to protect you: otherwise someone could spend 30 seconds on your computer, take your serial number, and gain the use of your license. There's enough serial number shown for you to check, against your records, which one is in use on a particular computer.
