CS6 Illustrator does not print test (type)

Just recently CS6 Illustrator stopped printing whenever there is test or type on the page.  I can print the artboard to a file and then print the  file (page) but not directly from an Illustrator artboard.  If I remove all of the type on the artboard by deleting the type or hiding the type the art board will print.  Evidently I changed something but do not know what.  I even re-installed Illustrator and that did not help.  I could use some ideas.  My printer is a HP Office jet 6978 and is up to date.

Are you on Windows 10? If so then you should know that CS6 is not supported for that OS. Worse than that is that Windows 10 keeps automatically updating itself making the chances that CS6 will work correctly, if at all, get less and less possible. If this is the case then you will either have to update to Creative Cloud or roll back your operating system.

Try using the Page tool ( View > Page Tiling = ON ) to align your page layout with the artboard.

My CS6 64 Bit turns down, when I press "print". I am using Windows 10.
