Ctrl+C copy from AI and Paste to Google Slides

Hello!

I am putting together a presentation on Google Slides, and have found that I can Ctrl+C copy my image in AI, and paste it in Slides, which makes things go much quick as I need to make a number of modifications to the image in AI. Rather than saving off tons of image files (e.g. PNG files), I find it much more efficient to copy & paste. 

The only drawback is that the image quality is not great, and I'm honestly not even sure what image format is being pasted.

I'm wondering if:

1) There is the image quality or resolution of my Ctrl+C copied images can be improved/adjusted

2) I can paste copy & paste them in my preferred PNG format (i.e. with transparent background).

I tried turning OFF "SVG" and "PDF" clipboard and the image still copied to Google Slides. It also is clearly converting the vector because it changes text kerning and stroke endcaps. I found enlarging the original in AI before copying significantly improved quality. Interestingly this forum has the very same capability of Google Slides. The first is a small image pasted directly from AI the second is the same image scaled up in AI before pasting. I do find the distortion disappointing. Google at least allows you to reproportion it.

I find a simple screen capture much more direct and no distortion to adjust. On Mac I use Shift+Cmd4 the hold "Control" before letting up on mouse. This puts the screen selection into the clipboard. There is no doubt a PC equivelant shortcut.

I think scaling up the AI image probably works the best for my purposes. That definitely gives me better resolution.

I wasn't sure about the SVG & PDF options you mentioned? What version are you using? I'm on CS6

I'm on CC 2015. I find them here. But in this case they seem to make no difference.
