Ctrl + Click (right click with mouse pad) not working on layers tab

Hi,

I had to an impromptu travel day and forgot my mouse. When I try to Ctrl + Click on the layers tab (to release layers for example) I get no response. My Ctrl + Click is working on every other Adobe app.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

there's no Context Menu on the layers panel with or without mouse, you have to use the Layer's flyout menu

Thank you for the response. I apologize -- I am not used to working on the Macbook. How do I access the Layer's flyout menu to release layers?

I am not sure we are on the same page. I am trying to right click in the layers panel just as I would in any other program or with my mouse in order to reach "New Layer" "Release to layers" "Flatten Artwork" etc.

Right-clicking = context menu. There is no context menu in Illustrator's layers panel. You might want to make a feature request. https://illustrator.uservoice.com

In order to get to those commands, you can use the layer panel menu (accessible via the hamburger menu to the top right of the panel)
