I'd like to make the width of the stroke larger at at peak and trough of the wavy zig zag stroke.

When i choose a profile of the stroke. It just changes the width on one side.

Please see attached. Image one is uniform stroke. and the other is with a stroke profile applied.Screenshot 2021-07-29 at 16.29.38.pngScreenshot 2021-07-29 at 16.29.06.png

Summayah, Hi

Here I created a pattern brush and applied it to a circle.

The pattern brush was created with stroke using a custom variable width.

You need to apply the same effects to the fill in the Appearance panel.

The Width tool and width profiles are very useful, without any doubt.

But in this case you may consider to convert the stroked object to a filled compound path (Object menu > Path > Outline Stroke) and edit (probably some added) individual anchor points to get the desired appearance.

If i add a fill to it, it doesn't fill the circle.Screenshot 2022-01-05 at 11.20.12.png
