Dashed Line cuts the first and last dashes

On an open dashed line, is there a way to distribute the dashes evenly from the beginning to the end of a path without having part of the first or the last dash cut off? This is really annoying.

Set the dashes to this:

Is this the result you want? Adjust the value of the dash for equal segments along the entire length?
