Dashed Lines around Embedded Images?

Hello all, I think I may have just installed latest update of Illustrator.  Now I see dashed lines around all the images on my artboard.  The dashed lines trace around the border of the images.  I did not see this before.  I noticed when I zoom in a lot they go away.  Any idea how I can removed the dashed border lines?  See attached photo.  Thanks!

Based on your last two screenshots:

  • expand your layers panel (click on the small arrow)
  • select the image
  • the appearance panel must remain visible
  • show the tool panel as well

Probably just a screen imaging issue.

Zoom in in PS and see if you can see them.

If you can, Select all, Select→Modify→Contract (tick Apply effect at canvas bounds check box), type 1* pixel, image→crop

* or maybe 2...

Okay I will try this thank you.  I don't have Photoshop, only Illustrator

You can use Crop Image (in the tool bar or Object menu) or use a clipping mask around the image in Illy.

Please select the image and show us a fullscreen screenshot with visible Layers Panel and the Appearance Panel too.

Does it go away when you view in CPU mode?

Does it go away when you export the images?

Are you really sure tht this is not part of the image pixels?

Did you rotate them in Illustrator?

Hello, yes I'm sure it's not part of the image because I don't remember seeing it before and when I open a New Document, copy the image from the original document and paste it to the new document's artboard, it doesn't have the border.  Yes it is not there when I export the image

So it's not there in another Illustrator document?
