Data error (Cyclic redundancy check)

A folder which contains an Ai file I worked on can't open, it gives me the Data error (Cyclic redundancy check) error message.

Folder is saved on a hard disk.

I can't even copy the folder to a different location and try to open.

Sorry for the delayed response. The CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) error is presented when there is a problem with the file/folder or the media (internal/removable or network drive) being accessed. Would you mind trying the suggestions in this third-party help article (https://www.lifewire.com/fix-crc-error-4687267) and checking if it helps?
