Hi! Is there a way to permanently change the default font (Miryad Pro)? I get it but every time I close Illustrator and run it again, Miryad Pro comes up again... I go to Windows / Type / Character Styles then click on Normal Character Styles and change the font on Basic Character Formats but as I said when I close Illustrator and run it again... Miryad Pro!

set up the default character style -the one in brackets - in the way you beed nd then make a new document profile

here is a video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5kcrHjSbN5k

Thank you so much Monika! I have done it and now each time I run Illustrator a file Print-02.ai is created in the New Document Profiles folder. Is this right? I have deleted the default Print.ai file and put the new Print.ai created as shown on the video. Why is this Print-02.ai file always created?

Yes Monika. I reboot Illustrator and it's still creating that file... What do you mean with IT?

Is there an IT department that manages the computer?

Anyway: if Illustrator keeps creating these unnecessary NDP, what you can do, is:

- rename your custom NDP to something else (it actually doesn't matter)

- take an original Print NDP from the folder Applications > Illustrator > Support files > New document profiles

- copy it to the Application Support folder

The problem with that approach is that those custom NDPs are somewhat buried inside the New file dialog box.
