When applying  'effect > 3D & materials > revolve'   there is a selection of default preset rotation settings. It is possible to choose custom rotation and edit however i was wondering if it is possible to save a custom rotation?

Thanks for any advice

Correct answer Laura Coyle.

Once you set the rotation as you want it, you could then save it as a Graphic Style, which can be appled to other objects. I don't know that there is another way of saving a rotation preset.

To save as a Graphic Style, open the panel (Window > Graphic Styles) and with your customized object selected, click the plus button to create a Graphic Style (which is basically saving all of the appearance settings for that object, including the 3D effect). To apply a Graphic Style to another object, click the saved graphic style thumbnail - or hold option/alt to keep the appearance of the current object (like it's color) while adding the graphic style.
