The last 2 versions of illustrator, if i'm holding down option (which i do a lot) and drag with 2 fingers on the trackpad (which i do a lot) it triggers zooming in and out. how do i turn this off

zoom with scrollwheel is deselected

and animated zoom is also deselected

i don't know where this is coming from. maybe it's a mac os thing. i just really want to turn it off

This behaviour can be turned off in the Illustrator preferences in "General"

Sorry I overread that.

Are your finger too close so they are not recognized as 2, but as one?

it actually happens accidentally sometimes when i do "3 finger drag", that's why it drives me crazy. i'll be dragging an object holding option to duplicate it, or overrride a graphic style, etc, and i end up zooming in by a lot.

i then realized the action is 2 finger drag + option. 2 finger drag by itself is panning. it doesn't happen with 1 finger.  i don't see where this behavior is set. might be a Mac OS thing, but i don't see it there either and it didn't happen before.

i've looked thorugh accessibilty settings in system preferences. 3 finger drag is the only thing i enabled.
