I just created my first images with Illustrator. They work perfectly except for one problem - my custom fonts got left behind.
After searching for information, I'm confused by all the options, which are very technical to boot. I think the easiest route might be to just try that Nano program. Is that generally recommended, or is there a better alternative?
Thanks.
In that case you will load the custom font in your CSSfor your website anyway, right?
You can style fonts in an SVG with CSS as well, but then you will need to edit it after exporting from Illustrator.
There should be a couple of tutorials on how to apply CSS styling to an SVG.

Entirely depends on where you plan on uploading your stuff. Embedding entire font sets into SVG/ CSS/ JS will naturally bloat the files and to boot, you may not be able to upload the package to some servers for safety reasons. Likewise, it may simply not render correctly on some devices. Rinse repeat for uploading web fonts or native fonts to sites you don't have full control over. Stuff can simply get lost or blocked or not display. Some more info on where you actually plan to publish the files might be helpful.
