Distortion when exporting

Hello, 

When I export a selection my result is totally distorted. I can't believe this!! Both the PNG and JPG exports result in the same distortion. It's a simple dotted circle that I created using a stroke and using the dash and gaps to created the dots. 
when I export it the dots are totally distorted. 

I'm on a tight deadline to get this to the client and I can't send them THIS!! 
it's 2021, Adobe!!! what on earth! 

I've attached screenshots of what it should look like and how it comes out after export. 

Please any help?

What are your export settings? Resolution, Anti-aliasing?

I had this same issue. Doing a Save for Web (Legacy) fixed it!

What were your export settings, resolution, anti-aliasing? What file format? JPEG, PNG?
