Hello Community, I imported a nautical rope file from Adobe Stock and received the above error. I could still import it into Illustrator without an issue, but when I place another AI graphic inside it - it looks great onscreen, but when I export it as a JPG or PNG or try to send the AI file, ihe colors of the interior graphic change! I tried the PS workaround & as many other things I could think of to no avail. Am I in the Twilight Zone? Even my more experienced Illustrator friend can't figure it out. It seems so simple, but... can anyone offer help on this? Thank you.
Hi Anubhav, I replied to the email you sent and included Illustrator version and files. If you did not receive it, please let me know. Thank you.

Hello @McIz,
Thanks for reaching out and sharing the details. I tried replicating this behavior using your test files, but could not. Could you share more details, like the version of the OS/Illustrator installed, and screenshots of how the color looks after being exported and in Illustrator and the export settings used, so I can better assist you?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Anubhav

Can you post the link to the stock image?

Hello Dave, thank you for responding. This is the file that I couldn't get to render properly. https://stock.adobe.com/images/set-of-yellow-rope-woven-circle-vector-border-circle-vector-frame-iso... I downloaded another file and it worked fine - not quite as sophisticated, but OK. All is well.

Earlier, on a replay, you mentioned you have not purchased the file. Are you working with the preview or the actual art?
Based on the original post, the problem was a color shift upon export. Did you open the art as an AI file or did you import? If the latter, was it into a CMYK document?

That rope file did not work at all, but another one did. As it turned out, my color problem was due to the conversion from Pantone spot colors to CMYK in an original file that was sent to me. I eventually discovered that the overprint feature was checked for one color so the overlapped layers showed as green. Thank you for offering to help. This one almost put me over the edge. 😵💫 I'm now back on track.
