Does anyone else have this issue when they move from fresco to illustrator?

I love using Adobe products but when I draw with vectors on fresco there are extra lines and anchor points translated into illustrator for some reason maybe because I was erasing parts. Could there be some sort of clean-up system put in place when you are transferring between fresco and illustrator because this has been an issue for a lot of my work lately. After meticulously creating the work I then need to spend time 'cleaning up' and its quite tiresome. Does anyone have a solution to this that is more efficient?

selecting all and then hitting "Merge" in the Pathfinder panel (not to be confused with "Unite") is quite efficient. Does it not help you?
