Does Illustrator preferences sync across multiple devices/ machines/ PC/ Mac's?

Hello,

 

today I opened Ilustrator and I have noticed that, it has synchronized everything with my mac, which is not what I want. Is it possible to go back to my old prefences, or is there option for adobe to not sync prefences between two machines? (On PC im using 32 inch monitor, and i want everything to be big, and on mac I need everything to be small)

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure there is no such automatic synchronizing of preferences between installations.

There is no prefs synching.

It must be accidental that they are similar. Probably after resetting prefs (maybe during updating).

Im sick of this programs to be honest. I wonder what will happen when I open Ilustrator on mac...

It's not a big thing but it's time wasting.

I am sorry to hear about this experience. I would like to know if the steps suggested above by @marliton @Ton Frederiks worked for you? I agree with @John Mensinger @Ton Frederiks Illustrator preferences do not sync across devices. However, I would request you to share a few details like:

  • OS on windows, the exact version of macOS and Illustrator
  • Does this happen every time you launch Illustrator on your machines?
  • When did this start happening? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, application updates, any antivirus, system updates, plugins, or web extensions installed recently.

 

If the steps suggested above do not help to resolve your issue. Then, I would suggest you to try the steps shared in this post (https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/resolve-slow-performance-and-unexpected-behaviors-in-illu...) step by step and share your observation with me.

Im working on newest version of windows 10, and newest version of iOS.
I know how to customize Ilustrator, just didnt wanted to do it for second time, but thanks for suggestions - yes I can change them 😉

 

Today I wanted to save my work and I got this message (attachment) ..I was working on PC, and couldn't do anything. So the only way to save my work was to turn off machine and then recovering my work.

Someone might need to log into your computer to check this out. There might be some monitor settings colliding with Illustrator settings as for user interface scaling.

Sorry about this trouble @wojciechw86229645. I hope this issue is resolved by now. If not, I would request you to share a few more details like:

 

Also, I would suggest you try the following steps and let us know how it goes:

  • Try scaling the UI of the Illustrator by navigating to Edit > Preferences > UI > UI Scaling. The UI Scaling option will be available when the system resolution is set at 100%. You can refer to the screenshot attached.

  • Rename the CEP folder to CEP.old from the following location:
    MAC: /Library/Application Support/Adobe
    Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
  • If that doesn't help, rename the extensions folder to extensions.old in the following location:
    MAC: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/UXP
    Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\UXP
  • If that doesn't help either, uninstall the application using the CC Cleaner tool and reinstall from the Creative Cloud Desktop app.

Ok, so when i changed UI scalling to small, I can save documents but...I dont want to change everytime User Interface from large to small, when I need to save document.

Ok, I have contacted Adobe support and after deleting some %appdata it started to scale properly (should done it manually but it was OK) same goes with workspaces, whouh!
