Dot with pen tool

Hello everyone, 

Please help, just got  anew computer and had to reinstal Illustrator.

When doing one single click with the pen tool used to make a black dot (when I had a black stroke and white fill) Now it does not.

The anchor point is there when I selct it but it is invisible. How can I make it back or any color back again?

In the past you may have done that with a brush selected.

 

Can you check that?

    Thank you for your fast reply. 
    In the past I have done it with the pen toll because I used to needed to remove the stroke and fill. But thank you for the alternative. This will work the same way.
