Hello,

I've got an issue with adobe Illustrator CC 2019, that have been discussed three years ago:

Double Clicking Illustrator Files Does Nothing (seemingly)

So if I double click an Illustrator file (.ai, .eps .svg) WHen Illustrator is not running, Illustrator will open the file will load.  But once Illustrator is open double clicking files does nothing.  I have to go to File>Open and then browse to the image.  I really wish you guys would just let me purchase a stable version and stop taking my money every month and throwing monkey wrenches at me constantly.

I'm on a windows 10 machine and obviously I am on the latest "greatest" version of Illustrator ever.  AI2017

Same issue, more frustrating because i am forced to open some files from CMS that only works on Internet Explorer and i need to close the program, every time I want to open a file without downloading it. This can be issue of my newly installed windows 10, i also would like to add, that i've checked files association in Win10, and in Adobe Bridge, reinstalled the app, updated, resetarted my computer.

help ;(

Kind Regards,
M. Olbrycht

If anyone has same issue:

I had 23.0.1 version,
Installed 23.0.0 files open correctly.

Hope adobe fixes it in next update.

Instead of linking that other thread, please describe your setup. System, plugins and what exactly you are doing step by step. Where the files are stored etc.

Also: I seem to remember that there are threads about this with the current version.

With Windows in most of those threads the issue could apparently be solved by setting the file association. Sometimes people needed to do that twice in order to set it. Did you already install the update to 23.0.1?

Some people hacked the registry to fix file associations.
