Illustrator seems to be sensitive when single clicking. Doesn't happen in any other programs. Any suggestions?

You might try dialing back the double click response in your OS's preferences.

Tried that as well. Didn't know if anyone else had the issue.

Are you using a mouse or a pen? Lengthening the repeat time made no difference?

Hi Robert,

Sorry to hear about the issue. I would like to know if the steps suggested above worked for you, or the issue still persists. If you are still facing the same issue could you please check how mouse behaves with other applications. You can also try with a different mouse and check if that shows the same behavior or not.

Kindly update the discussion if you need further assistance with it.

Regards,

Srishti

Hello,

(sry for my english)

i have the exact same problem and the steps suggested didn't word for me.

I have the issue on my PC since 2 or 3 weeks and it's a nightmare to work on illustrator.

I'm working on my laptop (HP Probook) too, and i don't have the issue.

Here's what i tried to solve this without success :

- changed the speed of double-click

- re-installed Illustrator

- used another mouse

- tried to disconnect and work without my intuos pro

But nothing has changed.

Although I have made adjustments to the double click feature, it still continues. I use a track ball and a wacom tablet. Feeling it might be more of a windows 10 issue.

I am having this problem now, also. At first, I thought it was just Illustrator but have since noticed the issue is constant in Photoshop too, and to a lesser extent, in InDesign. It's driving me crazy and making it such a pain to do the simplest tasks! I have a coworker with the same problem—we are using a different mouse and I have a graphics tablet. Editing mouse settings doesn't help.
