Question

Double Cut lines

When I bring in an image and use the image trace feature the image looks great, but when I send it to my vinyl plotter (graphtec) it cuts the lines double. I  attempted to separate on and I noticed that there was a line left with 0 fill and 0 stroke. How can I eliminate that line without manually deleting it? Is there a setting that I can use prior in the settings because I always seem to miss something when i try to do it and my vinyl gets destroyed?

Did you get a work around this? I am having the same problems, the PDF always creates 2 lines for the plotter. I can avoid it by creating an EPS file, but they are so big in kilobytes, become 1-5 gigabytes which is crazy for the ripper.

    Please create a new thread.

In you new thread (not in this one) please tell us all the steps in creation of your artwork and how you saved it, which lead to the issue.

Are you sure that it's not the plotter driver that causes it?

You can set the Fill and Stroke to zero and choose: Select > Same > Fille & Stroke and choose Delete

Be careful, it may change the artwork, the could be masks or compound paths

no fill - sending to cutter.  no compound paths, using white pointer I cannot find the second line but plotter sees it somehow and double cuts.
