Double Path from Image Trace Stroke

I have an image that I image traced - outlined and expanded and then stroked. But when I go to clean up the points  there is a second path right below the first. Anyone know how I fix this?

Your image probably was black and white?

Illustrator traces the white as well and creates shapes for it. Unless you set the option to ignore white.

Basically this is difficult to solve without knowing what and how exactly you traced.
