I have tried to search and have not had the best luck in finding the answer.
I have been given existitng PDF files that I need to mark up. There are 6 of them with about 84 pages each. I do not have the time to "Place" each page to get the text to show so I can do my markups. What I get is a box with an X inside it. This had happened to a file before but I was able to acquire the font and it resolved the issue. The file opens without Adobe Typekit error popping up. Is there a way to solve this? I prefer using Illustrator, than another program that is slower, and I just do not like it for this task.
I am in a time crunch.
Thank You

Why don't you use Adobe Acrobat to mark up the PDF files?
Illustrator is not meant to be a PDF editor.

You may have ticked the
Don't Show This Again checkbox
You can still seeing missing font under
Type > Find font
I think you can reset to show on file opening again in preferences
if not you could have to reset preferences to default
Setting Illustrator preferences
