Emoji font does not work in illustrator 2019

Hi, the Emoji font does not work in illustrator 2019. Can anybody help? This is what I have done so far:

• I use adobe illustrator 2019
• Adobe Creative Cloud is synced on the background
• I opened a new file
• Did not use any font so far
• Start straight with the emoji font (Emoji One or Apple Color Emoji, neither works)
• I open the library and see the emoji's
• The cursor is on the file
• I double click an emoji --> nothing happens
• I copy paste an emoji --> emoji does not show. It's a box with a cross

Does anyone know what could help?
