I'm having this issue on indesign and illustrator except is says "line 2798: { No matching closing brace found"

Hello everyone,

We have seen multiple reports of a script error related to Photoshop and the following workarounds have fixed it for many users.
1) Uninstall (remove preferences) and Reinstall Photoshop

Disclaimer: Please note that renaming preferences folders will remove all the custom settings, and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also save a backup of the folders, the location of which is mentioned here.

2) Open the JSX file in a text editor, which is available at
"/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Startup Scripts CC/Adobe Photoshop/" for macOS
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe" and "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe" for Windows

Add } in the last line, save the JSX file, and relaunch Illustrator.

come posso risolvere questo errore?

Nell'avvio del programma mi da questa notifica (vedi allegato) e il programma comunque non si apre, ma rimane al banner di avvio.

Nell'aprire un file invece, mi da lo stesso l'errore, ma poi il programma si apre. Grazie a chi mi sa aiutare.

Quisiera pedirles ayuda. Estoy teniendo problemas en Adobe Illustrator con el comando de la tecla Shift. Dejó de funcionar y en principio me saltaba el error que se ve en la imagen, pero creo que ya no lo hace más a ese error. Sin embargo, sigue sin funcionar el comando. Alguien puede ayudarme?

I just upgraded to 29.4 and got this error message upon launching Illustrator. I'm on an iMac M4, latest Sequoia OS. BTW, I didn't have Photoshop open and wonder what this has to do with illustrator.

Any fix for this?

Der Fehler kommt beim Start von Illustrator sowie beim öffnen eines Dokuments.
Ich habe Illustrator deinstalliert. Kein Erfolg.
Ich habe Illustrator Beta sowie V28 getestet. Kein Erfolg
Das Problem tritt nur bei Illustrator auf. Nicht bei z.b.: Photoshop, AfterEffects

Oh ok.. I just started recieving this error - out of the blue. It may also be affecting illustrators ability to create 3D images/resolves. Hope they have a solution.

Do you have the Photoshop Beta installed, or just the general release?

It seems to be an error in a Photoshop script for Adobe Bridge integration that multiple apps need to read.

Hi, I have the latest Illustrator and Photoshop and quite recently about 2 days now, this errors keeps popping up whenever I open both application. I always open both of these apps all the time but this error never happened before.

How do we fix this?

Windows 11 Pro Version 10.0.26100 Build 26100
My Laptop is i7 12Gen / RTX 3060 GPU / 16GB RAM
Both Ai and PS are the latest update.

Hallo, Ich habe seit neuestem das Problem das beim starten von Illustrator immer die Skriptfehler Fehlermeldung kommt & darin wird beschrieben das im Skript in der Zeile 2798 keine passende schließende Klammer gefunden wurde. Zudem ist seitdem die Ansicht in Illustrator auch sehr komisch, Schriften wirken nicht klar & etwas unsauber & haben auch einen leichten weißen Rand, auch wenn ich Grafiken einfüge & diese einen transparenten Hintergrund haben macht Illustrator einen weißen Hintergrund dahinter.

Bin über jede hilfreiche Informaton sehr dankbar.

Thank You, the new script worked and there are no more error messages. But I still have the problem that the font & graphics in Illustrator don't look clean.
