error when importing a PNG image

I have a problem when placing a PNG file, it appears as if it is distorted, it is a 3000px png image,

The image is 64bits and it measures 3000px x 3000px.

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Could you please provide a few more details, such as your operating system and the version of Illustrator you're using? Also, is the problem specific to a particular PNG file? If so, try resaving the PNG as PNG-24 in Photoshop and let us know if that resolves the issue.
