Error while opening a file on Illustrator 2020: Could not read file!

I have worked with the same file for a long time (3 weeks) and suddenly i get this message screen saying: "Could not read file, because this extramodule can't read this fil"??

I have tried to update my Illustrator to the newest version 24.0.3 but without luck.

 

Please help someone:-)

Please try to move a copy of that file in another folder an then reopen it... The problem It may be related to some plugin or to corrupted linked files.

Hi Mads,

 

So sorry to hear about this issue. I agree with the suggestions shared above and would like to if the issue is resolved by that or not. If not, then please try these steps and share your observations:

  • Go to System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Full Disk Access > Check Adobe Illustrator. It will ask you to quit Illustrator and relaunch it again.
