Please let us know if you need further help or that worked for you. The Adobe staff would be pleased if your post  was followed up on, as that helps other users.

Use this script.

adobe-illustrator-icnsexport/icns-export.jsx at master · choffmeister/adobe-illustrator-icnsexport · GitHub

  1. Select all text, paste in a text editor as plain text, save as filename.jsx
  2. File >> Scripts >> Other script - choose the script you saved

To export ICNS icon from Adobe Illustrator, you have to use the script adobe illustrator.icns exporter. This script will directly export the icons to .icns file.

This script allows exporting icons created in Adobe illustrator 2017 directly to a multiresolution .icns file. It has been tested for CS6.

You can just copy the script file to

  • Mac OS: /Applications/Adobe illustrator CS 6/Presets/[language]/Scripts/
  • Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe lllustratorCS6\Presets[language]\Scripts\

I get this: "This script contains uncompiled changes and cannot be run"

Using it with CS5. Too old a version?

Obviously.

That script is not a default Illustrator script. So unless the author discovers your thread in here you might not get a final answer at all. Open the script in a text editor and search for an e-mail address.
