Question

Export artboard only

How can I export my artboard only as a jpg in Illustrator CS6?  The option for 'artboard only' used to be an option but since I made an OS upgrade, it is no longer available.  Is the clipping mask option the only solution?  Why would they change this?

I found today (by accident) that if I "minimize" the options the "use artboards" checkbox was back!  Ta-DA!!

ch,

The recommended way is to upgrade the OS, then reinstall the applications, not least Illy. Was that how you did it?

You may consider a full reinstallation:

A) Uninstall (ticking the box to delete the preferences),

B) Run the Cleaner Tool, and

C) Reinstall.

You may try without B).

To uninstall:

Cleaner Tool:

Thank you, Jacob.

I recently upgraded my OS system and I use the subscription for Illustrator so it's the latest version.  Have they removed the option for 'artboard only' save?

You upgraded to Sierra, right?

You might try making the dialog box larger or smaller. But if that doesn't work, then that's it.

Nobody took something away from you. The system is just not fully compatible. You shouldn't have upgraded.
