Illustrator 2024
I am not able to export my artwork. I have a simple vector that I am trying to export as a transparent .png. I continue to receive the error message "Operation cannot be completed because of unknown error".
What I have tried so far. . .
I have restarted Illustrator
I have tried renaming the UXP file
I have tried scaling the artboard to make sure it is not too big
I use 'export as' quite frequently. This is the first time I am receiving this error.
Please advise. Thank you

Just how large is it?
What are your resolution settings when exporting?
Does it work in a new file with a small object?

Where are you saving to. Could be a file premissions issue. Try saving to an external USB drive (they are usually not protected by software as other places on the computer and they normally don't sync to cloud services as iCloud or OneDrive)

Directly saving to external disks can be a problem in Illustrator. As a last measure when nothing else helps to save the file at all, it might (or might not) help. And also if you have tested it before and it has proven to be a reliable workflow for you.

True, but Operating system can sometimes be more of a problem… I was sugesting this not as a workflow but as a workaround from limitations opposed by Operating System if read/write privilages were causing the error.
It is also hard to determine which folders are included in:
"Note: Illustrator does not support network or removable drives as scratch disks, or folders of file sync services such as Dropbox, Google Drive, and icloud." from the link @Monika Gause shared.

Have you verified that your operating system is up to date?

Have you tried exporting to a different format and eliminating any potential conflicts with third-party plugins?

Solved: I checked the document file info and realized my artboard was in inches not pixels and was too large. After scaling the artboard, I am ow able to export. Thank you everyone for your help!
