export file location

When I export a file (not save as) I place it in a specific folder.  When I export the next file, I need to go through the whole process again as it doesn't remember the last file location.  When you save as an illustrator file, it will return to the last folder location.  How do I get a dxf or dwg file to do the same?

Generally the behavior is normal, since AI doesn't store that info. You can of course try and create a script or instate shortcuts to the folders in the operating system to make this easier...

AI stores that info when you save as pdf or ai, why not when you export?
