Export large file from CS6 no, CS5 yes

I tried to export a 48x32 inch file as a jpeg at 300 dpi from CS6 (very basic file).

Immediatly got the message that Illustrator was unable to export at this resolution.

So, I opened the same file in CS5 and it exported it under the same settings with no issue at all?

Does this mean that CS6 export is worse that it was in CS5?

Dhirendra was kind enough to solve my issue and find my goofy user error. I had accidentally clicked somewhere off to the side with the artboard tool and created a HUGE artboard in the background.

So, there is NOT a bug. Unless you count me

Not sure where the problem started because I am able to export jpgs over 300 dpi from artboards in CS5 (800-1200 dpi) but I am unable to do this in Illustrator CC with anti-aliasing set to "art optimized supersampling" and getting the error "cannot export at this resolution." However, I am able to export tiffs and psds at resolutions greater than 300 with the same settings. So it looks like the problem is primarily with jpgs.

I am running AICC 10.1.0

Hi, Mike. This might be the problem: You have objects outside the artwork space. Do a Ctrl+A (select all). and see if the bounding box is between the confines of the artwork area. If not, Zoom out and deal with the objects outside these boundaries. I just had that problem, and I figured it out as I was reading your question. Good luck!
