Export of SVG files not working

Hello,

When I highlight my asset (a home button) to select it then > file > export selection. The source file opens as if the action has complted, however the home button asset has not exported. 

Any ideas why this is happeneing?

Which version and system is it?

Where are you exporting? Does Illustrator have access to that folder?
