Export PNG files from Illustrator and save directly to the Creative Cloud

Dear all,

 

I used to export the png files to my local disk from illustrator, but now I want to improve some of my workflow when I'm working on different devices so I would like to export my files in png but directly to creative cloud storage, not the local disk.

 

I know I'm able to save the illustrator file itself to my cloud, my when I tried exporting, it didn't show the option to choose to save to my Creative Cloud. Is there a way to do this instead of going around like save on the local disk and upload to the cloud?

Thank you for reaching out! I understand you’re looking to streamline your workflow by exporting PNG files directly to Creative Cloud. Unfortunately, as of now, Illustrator only allows you to save the Illustrator files directly to Creative Cloud storage. When exporting PNG files, you’ll need to save them locally or use other cloud services like OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, or Box.

 

If you’re looking for a more efficient workflow, you might consider exporting to a local folder that syncs with one of those cloud services I mentioned above so your PNG files can still be easily accessed across your devices.

You may also use CC libraries.

Export to a folder.

Create a CC Library.

Drag from the folder to Illustrator into the library.

You may want to first batch the png export in Photoshop to add a color profile, since Illustrator still cannot add a profile to png files during export.

@Ton Frederiks Thanks for this. I have been using Libraries for colour schemes, assets, styles, and some other stuff that I would love to sync across platforms so I do know this option. It is something I wish could be exported as a PNG file instead of saving it to a library that I was wondering. But still thanks.

I agree, it was possible before Adobe stopped the option to sync local files and folders in the Creative Cloud Files folder to the cloud. But that is gone...

@Anshul_Saini I see. Sad to know that this isn't a straight forward solution. I hope this can be updated as could be very useful in the creative workflow for people who use Adobe packages on different platforms.
