Question

Export to PNG includes layers whose parent is hidden

I have complex artwork with around 150 layers. When I export to PNG, Illustrator renders the image correctly for the most part, but often includes 1-3 hidden layers that are turned off and not visible on the artboard. The only solution is to navigate through the layers tree and turn everything off even if the parent layer is not visible.

Does anybody know a fix? Deleting hidden layers rarely works as intended. I don't even know why Adobe ships this useless function.

Adobe, this is basic. Please correct this.

Did you already try and reset preferences? Reboot the computer?

If that then still happens, please post to https://illustrator.uservoice.com  That's where bugs are noticed by the developers.
