Why is it that when I am trying to export a selection (just one art board) for the web, when I try to save it as a jpeg, it will grab the whole working area or all of the files? It has been doing that with alot of my files.

Do you have the box that says Use Artboards checked in the Export dialog. You can then select the range of artboards to be exported.

There is a command "Export selection" in the file menu since version 2015.2.1.

I hope you can update.
