Question

exporting SVGS to dropbox, missing graphics

Using AI 26.5, I open a file on dropbox and then do a save copy as a SVG file (using embed graphics), sometimes the graphics are not embedded in the file. And its sporadic in nature, meaning if I have 4 different graphics in the file sometimes graphic #1 isn't embedded and if I immediately do the save as again, graphic #2 isn't embedded this time. And then the next time all graphics are embedded! If I go back to an older version of Illustrator 26.3.1, I have no problems. Also, If I save the file to a local drive, it always works - so seems to be something with dropbox? I also see folders (temp?) being created and not deleted, (like D9CADCF0.png) that I think are related to this process.

Of course there could be all sorts of delays and sync issues with any of those online services and AI's less than great network code doesn't make things easier. Have you checked activity in your task manager/ resource monitor. It could well be that there is some unsavory extra activity at the times when it doesn't work and this may reveal the culprit.

will keep an eye on that, usually have good internet speeds, but think there is something with DropBox locking temp files or something.
