Hello I downloaded a business letterhead template. It opened in adobe illustrator. I was able to edit the text but I need my team to be able to download the file and make corrections to it. My team uses word or pages. How can I export the file so they can make adjustments to it., and send it out as an email. I'm new to using adobe

You need to set up a template in either Word or pages. Set up the design as Footer and Header and create all the template elements in the word processor.

You can export the files as PNG. Depending on the app, the operating system and the version, PDF or SVG might also work.

Do you know a video or something that could help me learn to do that? I have never used this before. I work on a mac but have both word and pages.

There are a lot of things to learn there. One thing is how to import the graphics. A totally different thing is how to set up the typography for all texts. Make the template ready for connecting to your address database and everything else.

I would dig somewhat deeper there and start learning a little bit more of either Pages or Word and then set up that template. For sure there are videos on YouTube available, but maybe you'd like to search for books in your local library or courses on LinkedIn Learning or the like.

So much wrong with this. First, you need to set the document mode to RGB under File --> Document Settings. Word or pages will never use a CMYK document and you sure don't want to put up with color management for such a Document just to get your colors printed right. Once that's done, hide the large text box and do a File --> Export of the remaining artwork. Export a PNG or JPEG. In Word, start a new blank text document, then do a Insert --> Graphic --> Image File in the ribbon menu. Right-click on the image on the page and choose Size & Position, then the text wrap tab. Use the behind text option. Exit the dialog. Lock the image on the page if necessary once you have resized it to fit. Then do an Insert --> Text Field on top of the image, format the text and resize the frame, then on the contextual drawing tools ribbon set the frame and fill to None.
