Exporting with variables

Hi,

I'm making a card game. i have made one illustrator file with the card compositions. On it, elements and texts change, linked to a CSV file, via the variable management of illustrator.

But now, how to export each versions of the card separately in jpg(or tif)?

-Do I need to change and save one by one each iteration, switching each time the variable entry?

-Is there an export option of file made with variables, I don't discover yet?

-Make a script?

Hope it's clear. I'm french ^^

Thank you

Franck

Create an action to save as jpeg or tif.

Go to the Variables panel and choose Batch.

Select your action and for Source: Data Sets

    Hi Kurt,

Batch process takes care of files already in a folder. Isn't it?

What I want it's to generate all these files from the original card file.

Some sort of action script, swapping the variable and saving the file with an increment of the file name? But if it's the only solution, I don't know how to make a script action with an increment... ^^

    Yes! Thanks!

I totally missed the "data sets" for source...

You can do it with a Batch process (see Actions palette flyout menu).
