Eye dropper tool does not match swatch or object I am selecting.

When I use the eye dropper tool, it does not recreate the exact colour match to the colour I have selected.

Also the swatch in the swatch library does not match. i have attcahed an image to explain hopefully more clearly!

The left square is the original color, the right square has been filled in using the eye dropper, as you can see they are different..any help?

Thanks

That may explain the behaviour.

Your color settings have color management turned off.

Try a setting usefull for your region.

How is your color management setup? Your Color Settings?

Do you use multiple monitors?

Is it a CMYK document? Is your image RGB or CMYK?

Hi,

yes i do use multiple monitors but the issue seems to be the same on both screens.

Both the image and the document are set to RGB at the moment.

If it is an image that you use as the source, embed the image before picking up the color.

The source is an image but it is already embedded, I have tried changing to rgb also and this didnt help either 🤔 🤔

Also as the swatch doesnt match the outcome colour (it shows as if it matches the source identically) its a guessing game to try and manually change the colour
