Question

Eyedropper not changing color in real time

I am trying to get my eyedropper tool to change the color of my fill/stroke in real time as I am clicking and dragging it over new colors, but it will not do so. It will only change to a new color once I rest on the position, even while I am still holding it. I'm unsure how to resolve this issue, or how it started in the first place because it wasn't doing this an hour ago. My keys on my keyboard are very sensitive so I must have misclicked and pressed something. I'm on Windows 10, using the latest version of Illustrator.

Maybe you switched to CPU Preview? CMD or Ctrl + E?

still didn't work. here's a video of my problem. it's a tad hard to show, but as I'm dragging around the eyedropper, it only selects the color when at rest. the popup panel doesn't show because of the way I recorded, but I use the color panel to show the type of effect I want to happen while moving while holding. it wasn't like this an hour before I posted the problem. Crtl + E didn't work

If I see well you take a color from the raster image. Is it so? If yes, check the Eyedropper settings and turn Off the main checkbox in the Pick Up column, keeping all other checks On. If the main checkbox is On, the Eyedropper takes the raster images as "empty" objects and fills/strokes them as None.
