Eyedropper not working - Illustrator

Need to use the eyedropper? No, i decided to not work properly today. Need to open a file? No. I'm not gonna show the artboard to you. I don't conform to the norm, that's ctrl+2 to lock the elements for you! Don't get me started on the fonts... Ai feels like it's always on labor strike. [renamed by mod]

Illustrator will not work the same as Photoshop, because it's a different kind of app. If you want to set up shortcuts differently, just go ahead. With every app there is a userbase that has the shortcuts in muscle memory - so you are demanding that they all relearn them?
