Eyedropper not working - Illustrator

Question

Need to use the eyedropper? No, i decided to not work properly today. Need to open a file? No. I'm not gonna show the artboard to you. I don't conform to the norm, that's ctrl+2 to lock the elements for you! Don't get me started on the fonts... Ai feels like it's always on labor strike.

Do you need help with something? Then please describe it.

Illustrator will not work the same as Photoshop, because it's a different kind of app. If you want to set up shortcuts differently, just go ahead. With every app there is a userbase that has the shortcuts in muscle memory - so you are demanding that they all relearn them?
