Faint Background Border from Photoshop to Illustrator

Hello all! Photoshop for Dummies help here! I removed the background of an image, exported as a png, and placed it into Illustrator. When this image is printed on a copier a faint box shows around the image. 

Adobe help chat suggested my printer's drivers needed ungrading so that was done. The issue still remains.

Any tips? Thank you!
