Feature Request for Illustrator: Select outer edge

Make a tool that can select edges. Like in Blender. This would be fantastic to have access to.

Alt click with the Direct Selection tool will let you select a connected path. Is that what you mean?

You can search Adobe Illustrator (uservoice.com) and add your suggestion if it does not exist yet
