Find original file name png exported from

Is it possible to find the file name of the illustrator document that a png was created from?

I have some exported png files that I created from an illustrator document some time ago, but can't remember which illustrator file they came from and I can't find it anywhere. It must have been saved and on my computer somewhere as I have created different versions of the png files on different dates. Is there any way to view the source filename?

You probably can't find anything useful from a PNG exported directly from Adobe Illustrator. I can try dragging a PNG image into a Notepad window to see the raw text. Not much is discernable other than the "‰PNG" text at the top of the page. PNG images created in Adobe Photoshop will have more read-able header data, such as listing Photoshop as the creator of the PNG image. But it won't say anything about the name of a PSD or TIFF file the PNG was derived from.
