Hi,
If I have a clip group with letters clipping an image - how do I permanently remove the part of the image that isn't part of the clip path? It's still showing the bounding box for the image. Because this is going to be a for the web, I need to export the clipped text when its finished so it fits the artwork bounds, but the image underneath is preventing this (see image below)
Any help would be awesome.
Thanks
Thanks Barbara, it turns out if i crop the image I have to embed the image so I worked out an HTML/ CSS solution. It was good to learn this though for future reference.

Select the image. (You may first need to choose Object > Clipping Mask > Edit Image in order to select it.)
Then choose Object > Crop Image or click on Crop Image in the Properties panel. A rectangle will appear. Adjust the size of the crop rectangle to fit the way you want it.
In the Properties panel, click Apply.

You're right that it does have to be embedded. I'm glad you were able to use a different solution.
Of course, Photoshop would be a better choice for cropping, and you could still keep the text as vector if you wanted to. If you're interested, I can describe the steps.
